About Minato
Minato is a certified rice bowl restaurant in Kyoto, built around a traditional style called mabushi-chazuke. You pick a bowl, eat it as a rice bowl first, then pour their carefully crafted bonito dashi on top and finish it as ochazuke. A full experience of traditional Japanese dining, at an affordable price.
The menu features seafood bowls, tempura bowls, and unagi bowls. A kids menu is also available, making it a great choice for families. 46 seats. Prayer room available for diners. Free Wi-Fi. Opened February 2026.
